The specially created sequence of words and music leads us through reflections and reports on war through the eyes of composers such as Ivor Gurney, Kurt Weill, George Butterworth and Francis Poulenc alongside the poetry and prose of Sassoon, Kipling, Owen and others. A moving and poignant examination of war from the works of those involved and those that observed. One of the highlights of last year's Bath International Music Festival, the performance is highly charged and immensely moving.
