The internationally acclaimed Scottish National Jazz Orchestra is joined by the inimitable Eddi Reader for an exciting and utterly unique concert experience. This new project, Alba: Songs of Scotland, is a colourful collection of breathtaking Scots songs from the borders and lowlands to the highlands and islands. These enchanting, uplifting tunes have been carefully chosen for their seductive, evocative qualities and set in sparkling, modern arrangements. 

The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra is regarded as Europe's finest contemporary Big Band and under the leadership of Scots jazz star Tommy Smith has worked with some of the biggest names on the circuit whilst developing new jazz talent in Scotland. Eddi Reader is well-known to everyone for bringing joyous life to all types of song from traditional to contemporary. This newly created and highly unique project exploits all these talents in a very special event.
