32 Festival on Tour: Spencer Strachan Duo

, Start Time: 21:30, End Time: 22:30 Skaill House Bay of Skaill, Sandwick KW16 3LR

The Spencer-Strachan Duo bring a folk music inspired programme to the intimate surroundings of the Drawing Room at Skaill House. Bartók was well known for his travels collecting folk music from his native country of Hungary as well as further afield, and Zoltán Kodály shared a passion for traditional music which infuses this grand scale duo. The folk music of Scotland is represented by the eminent Scottish composer and flute player Eddie McGuire and Norway by the encore piece by violin virtuoso Kraggerud. The Duo’s cellist contributes his own lyrical work to this concert.
