, Start Time: 13:00, End Time: 14:00 St Magnus Cathedral Broad Street, Kirkwall KW15 1NX

As part of the celebrations of St Magnus, the Festival launched a competition for composers with two categories – under and over 18 – to gather new scores based on the medieval music of the Hymn to St Magnus.  This polyphonic anthem called Nobilis Humilis is a significant piece related to the Saint and here we present contemporary versions revealing the winning entries. The concert includes music by the festival’s founder Peter Maxwell Davies.
