31 Johnsmas Foy - The Hampshire

, Start Time: 18:00, End Time: 19:10

2016 sees the 100th anniversary of the sinking of HMS Hampshire whilst sailing towards Russia with Lord Kitchener on board after the Battle of Jutland. A combination of words and music, this year’s Johnsmas Foy commemorates those who lost their lives on the Hampshire when it sank off Orkney on 5th July 1916.

Using key accounts of the incident Pam Beasant has drawn together a fitting tribute with music and songs from Sarah Jane Gibbon and Kristan Harvey.
