On Tour Festival on Tour: Bergen Domkor

, Start Time: 14:30, End Time: 15:30 Moncur Memorial Church Wardhill, Stronsay KW17 2AG

The Cathedral choir from Bergen brings a programme of music which is arranged, written or improvised by the choir members themselves and showcases the rich talent of this group.   With 36 voices this ensemble has a reputation for its vast range of repertoire ranging from Bach Passions to contemporary music. Under its award-winning young conductor this programme celebrates the impressive compositional talent within the choir and also exposes the singers’ improvisatory skills in music that reflects the western regions of Norway.

Bergen and Hordaland County have a current twinning, “eternal friendship” agreement with the Orkney Islands.
