OCC has no age restrictions and invites applications from emerging professional conductors who feel they would benefit from what OCC offers. Approximately eight students will be accepted on to the course. For the 2010 course, applications, including a DVD recording of your work, should arrive with us by Monday 1st March (please allow up to ten days shipping if sending from outside Europe) and applicants will be notified of the result in the week beginning Monday, 29th March.

The final repertoire list will be sent to successful applicants in early April. Participants are asked to provide their own scores, and DVDs for the video-recorded sessions.

The 2010 course fee is £560. This includes:

• all tuition
• up to 14 nights' self-catering accommodation in Kirkwall within walking distance of St Magnus Centre (the duration of the course is 10 nights)

Students also receive:

• free admission to St Magnus Festival performances
• an invitation to the opening Festival Reception

Successful candidates will be required to confirm their acceptance by paying a non-refundable deposit of £80 and the balance of the fee will become payable by 17th May.
