Pier Arts Centre, Stromness

Following exhibitions at Middlesborough Institute of Modern Arts and Dundee Contemporary Arts, an exhibition by a rising star of contemporary sculpture is presented at the Pier Arts Centre this summer. Norwegian sculptor, Camilla Løw, is represented in the Pier's Collection through the recent addition of 4+4, purchased through the National Collecting Scheme for Scotland. This work is currently on loan to DCA.

Orkney in the 12th Century:
Rognvald and his Earldom

Orkney Museum, Tankerness House, Kirkwall

The exhibition looks at the changes to society in Orkney during Earl Rognvald's time, with trade and the establishment of churches that would later lead to the development of parishes. It also tells the story of Earl Rognvald's adventures from Orkney to the Holy Land.
