A performance in ‘the other St Magnus' is always a popular feature of the Festival programme. Our Birsay excursion includes a drive to the north west tip of the Orkney mainland for a concert in St Magnus Church (built on the site of the mediæval Christ's Kirk). Trio Mediæval perform an enticing programme of Norwegian ballads and folksongs.
Buses leave Palace Road, Kirkwall, at 2.30pm, arriving back at 5.30pm .
Ticket includes transport and light refreshments after the concert.
Parking is limited: use of Festival buses is advised.
