The great Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla took the traditional tango, born in the bordellos of Buenos Aires , and infused it with elements of classical music and jazz, while losing none of the tango's smouldering eroticism. James Crabb leads a group of outstanding musicians in this haunting and passionate music, performed in the composer's original quintet line-up.
