The intimate string trio and delicate solo cimbalom pieces by Hungarian composer György Kurtág complement Maxwell Davies' mini-concerto, written for and dedicated to Kathryn Tickell, the acclaimed folk musician and foremost exponent of the Northumbrian pipes.
