en booking by post, please do not fill in the actual amount but write horizontally across the cheque a maximum upper limit (to match the total on your booking form) e.g. ‘not exceeding £50’. Please be sure to include the cost of postage and transaction fees or it may delay processing of your order.

To give greater customer choice the Festival has three ticket prices for many events. Please note that the lowest price is for unreserved seats and/or seats which offer limited views of the performance area. In St Magnus Cathedral this will include some seats with no view. Unreserved seats are available from the opening of ticket booking.

2018 Supporters’ priority bookings received before the relevant opening date are pooled, with tickets for each performance being randomly distributed within each ticket price requested amongst the ‘early birds’. Once priority booking has opened, orders are dealt with in order of arrival. For 2019 Benefactors/Patrons will be able to book online during their priority booking period. To access online booking please ensure you have

registered an email address with the Festival and have paid your membership fee.

The Festival’s online booking system allows customers booking online to choose their seats and print tickets at home.

If you have special seating requirements, wish to purchase a concession ticket, a query regarding access, or wish to make a booking for a wheelchair user, please contact the Festival office on +44 (0)1856 871445. We will do our best to satisfy seating requests at all venues.

Most Festival events take place in Kirkwall or Stromness which are 15 miles apart. On weekdays and weekends there is a regular daytime bus service (details and timetables are available from the VisitScotland Information Centres in Kirkwall and Stromness).
