As part of a project in aid of UNICEF, Robert Irvine asked many composers to write small works for solo cello on the theme “children and their suffering in the world”. These works have been recorded for CD release by Delphian Records but we hear them live here for the first time alongside Bach's beautiful and delicate C major suite.
