Vee Walker talks about her fascinating new novel and how fact becomes fiction.  Described as an ‘unintentional epic’ and launched at the National Army Museum in London last September, the book is set in WWI. Spanning seven countries (India, Scotland, Wales, England, Belgium, Germany and France) it is notable for bringing the contribution of the Indian regiments in this conflict to the fore.  In transcribing her grandfather Tom’s extensive war diaries Vee made the decision to bring history to life through fiction. Find out why and how she created a novel set in many locations and across the years of WWI.

Vee Walker is a Heritage Consultant who lives in the Highlands and this is her first novel.
