A programme which contrasts the elegant 18th century classical keyboard music of Scarlatti with the turbulent and complex 20th century neo-classical sonatas by Prokofiev. Whilst the Russian’s eleven sonatas are a significant contribution to the repertoire, Scarlatti’s output was in the hundreds.

The Ukrainian-born pianist Dinara Klinton is a prize winner in a multitude of international competitions and is renowned for her virtuosity allied with great sensitivity and poetry. Her debut recordings of Chopin and Liszt have won universal acclaim.
