The term Tafelmusik (Table Music) is one used since the 17th century and is the title of one of Telemann’s most famous compositional collections. The idea of music alongside dining, celebration feasts and solemn events is timeless, and this concert makes adds a little touch of Orkney bakery to the experience of listening to music.
Telemann’s contemporaries feature here in the seaside surroundings of the atmospheric St Nicholas Church.
