We know that many of our audience members have been asking about the current Covid-19 situation and how this will affect the Festival in June. This is clearly a very difficult time and one which is preoccupying us greatly in the final run-up to this year’s event. Our priority is clear, we should not be putting any staff, performers or audience at risk, and the health and safety of everyone involved is of supreme importance. Predicting what might happen as the next weeks unfold is almost impossible and, of course, we’re following any guidance that comes to us from Government, Creative Scotland, Orkney Islands Council and other important agencies, and working with other Festivals and Events. At present we are planning that the Festival 2020 should go ahead and should that situation change we will post information here and also on social media. Any ticket holders will be contacted and, in the event of changes or cancellation by the Festival, there will be a full refund.
