LIVE PERFORMANCES INDOORS and OUTDOORS
Our 'live' offering may be smaller than our usual series of events but we hope to bring you some magical performances in interesting settings. New work abounds with the première screenings of the new film of George Mackay Brown's THE STORM WATCHERS directed in lockdown by Gerda Stevenson. Renowned accordionist and composer, Karen Tweed, reveals her new work 'visitors' and the Rookh Horn Quartet gives the first performances of Lynda Nicholson's Orkney Songs. Another first for the Festival is the arrival of drive-in Cinema and the live music performance with the silent film Rob Roy as well as the timeless classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Events take place in unusual venues, outdoors mainly, across Orkney.
